POTATO ON THE GO NEWS FEED (Movie):

Academy Award winner Eddie Redmayne stars in the central role of Magizoologist Newt Scamander, in Warner Bros.' “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” which takes us to a new era of J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World, decades before Harry Potter and half a world away in America.

Watch a featurette on Eddie Redmayne with a special greeting for the Philippines here":
The casting of “Fantastic Beasts” began with the character of Newt Scamander, whose visit to New York becomes far more eventful than he ever imagined. Producer David Heyman says that Eddie Redmayne was the filmmakers’ first and only choice for the part. “He is quintessentially British, and an actor for all times who can play a character from any time. Eddie is brilliant at getting under a character’s skin and exploring every detail of a role, yet all that effort is invisible. All you see here is Newt—an outsider who is somewhat knotty but winning and engaging, someone you immediately invest in.”

Travel back in time at the age of the dinosaurs with SM Family Day’s featured movie “Dino Time” that will play on select weekends of November 19, 20, 26 and 27 at all SM theatres nationwide.

In the movie “Dino Time,”  a young adventurous boy named Ernie needs an escape. His mom, Sue, is a strict disciplinarian, his little sister, Julia, tattles on him every chance she gets, and he just can’t seem to stay out of trouble. When Ernie and his best friend Max slip past security to check out the Dinosaur Museum’s top-secret fossil exhibit, Julia sets off the burglar alarm. A group of bumbling guards recklessly pursue the panicked boys, who are finally  caught after Ernie’s rocketboard launches them head-first into a priceless set of dinosaur fossils. Ernie is swiftly grounded, but he sneaks away to the house next door, where Max, with the help of his genius father, has invented a sleek, egg-shaped contraption that he believes—despite countless failed experiments—can travel through time. Are you ready for the ARRIVAL?

POTATO ON THE GO NEWS FEED (Movie):

In Columbia Pictures' provocative science-fiction thriller Arrival, a mysterious spacecraft touches down across the globe, and an elite team - lead by expert linguist Louise Banks (Amy Adams) - are brought together to investigate. As mankind teeters on the verge of global war, Banks and the team race against time for answers – and to find them, she will take a chance that could threaten her life, and quite possibly humanity. Also starring Jeremy Renner and Forest Whitaker.

“I've dreamed of doing science fiction since I was ten years old,” explains director Denis Villeneuve, who fell deeply in love with the short story Arrival is based upon, Ted Chiang’s ‘Story of Your Life.’ “It’s a genre that I feel has a lot of power and the tools to explore our reality in a very dynamic way.”
“After producers Dan Levine and Dan Cohen first contacted me about doing a movie,” says Chiang, “they sent me a DVD of Denis' film, Incendies (2010), to give me an idea of what they had in mind. That played a big part in my taking them seriously. If they had sent me a copy of a conventional Hollywood science-fiction movie, I probably would have ignored them. It wasn't until a few years later that Denis was actually attached to direct, but he was the director they had in mind from the beginning.”
